The Rosemary Saas Center for Women of Faith in Leadership encourages and strengthens leadership skills in Magnificat women. This "center without walls" fosters the foundation for young women of faith to learn to lead. The Saas Center is named after Rosemary Saas — a great woman leader, mother, visionary and benefactor. Leadership scholarships are available to current freshmen, sophomore, and junior students.

Student nominations are accepted from:

• Faculty and Staff may nominate a student whom they believe has demonstrated leadership.
• Fellow students may nominate a peer whom they believe has demonstrated leadership.
• Students may self-nominate.
• Application questions are based on Magnificat Core Values: Respect, Collaboration, Commitment, Compassion, Faith-filled Living and Lifelong Learning. Applicants may describe demonstrated service and leadership within school, parish and/or community.

Nomination Forms were due Wednesday, April 13, 2011:

• Applicants will be notified by letter on Friday, April 15, 2011 at home.
• Applications available on-line and due Friday, April 29, 2011.
• Leadership scholarships recipients will be determined by committee selection by Sunday, May 20th, 2011 and announced at the Magnificat High School annual awards ceremony.
• Leadership Scholarships will be applied to the following academic year tuition cost.
• There is no financial need component to these scholarships.

Class of 2014:
The Rosemary Saas Freshman Leadership Scholarship
Recipient will receive a $1,000.00 Scholarship for the 2011-2012 Academic Year

• Nomination form was to be completed by Wednesday, April 13, 2011
• Student was to complete the on-line Rosemary Saas Student Leadership Scholarship Application by Friday, April 29, 2011.
• Student must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average and comply with the Magnificat code of conduct to apply.
• Student must have a recommendation from a teacher.

Class of 2013:
The Rosemary Saas Sophomore Leadership Scholarship
Recipient will receive a $1,000.00 Scholarship for the 2011-2012 Academic Year

• Nomination form was to be completed by Wednesday, April 13, 2011
• Student was to complete the on-line Rosemary Saas Student Leadership Scholarship Application by Friday, April 29, 2011.
• Student must have maintained a 3.0 grade point average and comply with the Magnificat code of conduct to apply.

Class of 2012:
The Rosemary Saas Junior Leadership Scholarship
Recipient will receive a $1,000.00 Scholarship for the 2011-2012 Academic Year
