Welcome to Magnificat High School
Resource Center

  • Goals
    The Magnificat Resource Center functions as an intergal part of the total educational program. Our purpose is to facilitate the realization and achievement of a quality education for all students.

    To realize this goal, the following give purpose and direction to the library program.

  • To Provide
    A functional and effective library program which will meet the needs of the curriculum as well as the academic needs and interests of the students.

    Informed guidance in the use of library resources which will personalize teaching and individualize learning.

    Infohio Computerized catalog/circulation
    Regular Loan period 2 weeks
    Periodicals 15 current magazines (including 6 Catholic titles) 1992+ print form; Online, full-text: 800+
    3 newspapers, print
    4 historical newspapers online
    Microforms (fiche/film) New York Times newspaper
    1851-1988;
    plus back issues of 23 magazines

    17 Desktops, 28 Laptops, 4 printer stations
    Internet access
    CD-ROM for literature/author programs
    Online access to 30+ databases (LEECA, Infohio, subscriptions)
    Access to 7 public library catalogs (Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Public, Lakewood, Porter, Rocky River, Avon and Avon Lake)

    Production Room A-V equipment, typewriter, help with projects (drymount, laminating)

    Open Daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (3:30 on Friday)*
* Student access to the Vinaya Kondapalli Research Center (computer lab)
