Visit Magnificat
Visiting the school is not necessary but is highly recommended. Magnificat gives you and your parents a wide variety of opportunities to see all that we have to offer.
Eighth Grade Shadowing - Regular school days September through December
Shadow a freshman and see what a typical high school day is like at Magnificat.
A shadow reservation must be made 3 days in advance of the visit. Reservations must be
made through your grade school or by a parent. Call the Admission Office at
(440) 331-1572.
Arrive at 8:00 a.m., come to the Admission Office
Wear khakis, dress pants, a skirt or a dress (no jeans, sweats, or tennis shoes please).
Bring a book to read or some homework.
Lunch is on us! Magnificat provides you with a lunch pass to the cafeteria but feel free to bring money for the candy line.
Classes run from 8:15 - 3:05.
Open House Sunday, October 21, 2007, 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to tour the school, visit the classrooms, meet the teachers and students and enjoy various student performances.
Parent Information Fair Saturday, November 10, 2007, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
or Saturday, November 17, 2007 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
A formal presentation is given to parents while students are taking the placement exam.
Take the Placement Exam
The placement exam is administered twice in November. Students need to bring two No. 2 pencils and a $15 test fee. Dress comfortably.

Test results will be mailed to parents before Christmas break.
Apply to Magnificat
If you attend a Catholic school you will receive an application from your school in mid-
January. By listing Magnificat as your first choice, your school will make sure we receive
your application, records and recommendations.
If you attend a public or private non-Catholic school, you will receive your application from the
Admissions Office with your placement exam results. The application, along with your 6th,
7th and first semester 8th grade grades, standardized test scores and a letter of
recommendation need to be sent to Magnificat by January 26th.
All letters of acceptance will be mailed on February 14, 2008.
Registration of Class of 2012 is March 1, 2008.

If you are transferring from another high school you need to call the admissions department and request an application. We must also receive a copy of your current transcript and a letter of recommendation.
