March 11 | as part of CTC One Act Festival at John Carroll University
A hilarious abridgement of William Shakespeare's 'Hamlet', written in 1979 - this version to be performed by an all-female cast. The play condenses the original 'Hamlet', including all the best-known scenes, into approximately 13 minutes of on-stage action. This is followed by another even more drastically reduced performance of the play from beginning to end, lasting 2 minutes, bringing the total running time up to 15 minutes. If you know Shakespeare's Hamlet - don't worry - you'll be alright. If you don't - go read it.

[Student-built set design for Magnificat's A Midsummer Night's Dream]
Mischief meets merriment in this reimagining of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedy. In just one night, four magical stories are cleverly woven together: the marriage of the Athenian duke to the Amazon queen; the battle of the king and queen of the fairies; the follies of four lovers in a forest; and the hilarious antics of amateur actors staging a play. Enter a vibrant world where fairies roam free, a donkey bursts into song, and a love potion makes your perspective turn on a dime. This is William Shakespeare at his most magical and most imaginative. Suitable for theatergoers of any age!
