All-school Advent Collection Drive
Magnificat kicks off its annual Humble Hands Advent collection on Wednesday, December 4. Humble Hands is a school-wide effort that aims to help meet some of the basic needs of those in the Greater Cleveland area, the Appalachian regions of West Virginia and Kentucky, and Immokalee, Florida. Through this student-led project, we hope to be able to recognize Christ’s living presence in ourselves and in our sisters and brothers in need. During Humble Hands, 11 Christmas trees will be displayed in the Humility of Mary Center. Each tree represents an organization and will be adorned with hands describing a donation request, including prayer requests. Everything collected will be distributed through the agencies that Magnificat partners with for service or immersion programs throughout the year. These include: Catholic Charities Office of Migration and Refugee Services, Domestic Violence Center, St. Rocco School, Villa Montessori, West Side Catholic Center and others.
If you have any questions about Humble Hands or would like to help support the project, please contact Ms. Marissa Madden, Director of Campus Ministry, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Magnificat Mothers’ Club invites you to a Ladies’ Night Out where we will be making a fresh, holiday centerpiece to adorn your Christmas table. Cost is $25 per person. Please bring scissors, an appetizer to share and your favorite beverage.
