Directed by Maryann Nagel, Matilda, the Musical will bring to the Magnificat Center for the Performing Arts a technically and vocally challenging production based on the Roald Dahl novel about “an extraordinary girl with a sharp mind and a vivid imagination who dares to take a stand and change her destiny.”

Sensory-Friendly Performances
New for the 2019-2020 Magnificat Performing Arts season is a sensory-friendly performance for Matilda, the Musical this fall as well as the spring production of Sense and Sensibility. Sensory-friendly performances at Magnificat are designed especially for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other disabilities. During these programs, patrons enjoy shows together with family and friends in welcoming, inclusive, and relaxed spaces. Magnificat will also provide environmental modifications intended to make the experience of traveling to and viewing a performance more pleasant for everyone. Trained volunteers will also be on hand to assist patrons if necessary. Only members of the community who have a friend or family member in need of a sensory-friendly environment may purchase tickets to this performance. We welcome family and friends to experience the show together in a judgement-free environment.
