Summer Programs

Athletic Camps

Home of the Blue Streaks, Magnificat High School has a strong athletic tradition with 19 team state championships since 1985 — including this year's state volleyball champions! Our summer athletic camps for girls entering Grades 1-9 draw on the expertise of head varsity coaches and their staffs to elevate participants' level of play in a variety of sports. Tuition is $175 unless otherwise noted. Review the list and dropdown descriptions of each camp below and click the blue button below to register. 

The refund deadline for athletic camps is 2 weeks prior to the start of camp. Please submit your refund request via email to Paul Barlow at  pbarlow@maghs.org to request an athletic camp refund. A $25 fee per registration will be deducted from the requested refund.
 

Basketball Camp | June 13-16

  • Grades 1-4 | 3:30-5 p.m. ($100)

    Hoop It Up! This clinic is designed for young girls interested in learning about the sport. Head Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher and his staff will teach the very basics and fundamentals of the game through fun games, drills, and activities.
  • Grades 5-6 | 8:30-11:30 a.m.

    Nothing but Net! Head Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher and his team will provide 5th and 6th graders with a basic foundation through skill instruction and player development. Through drills and live play, campers will learn the fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, passing, and defense.
  • Grades 7-8 | 12-3 p.m.

    Crash the Boards! This 7th and 8th grade camp is designed to challenge campers’ skill level and give them the opportunity to develop increased abilities in all areas of the game. Head Varsity Coach Danny Gallagher and crew will review fundamentals, while teaching strategies and techniques of the game through competitive drills and live play.

    Located at Mastick Woods Picnic Area in the Rocky River Reservation
    Scott Troyan - Head Varsity Coach 

    Pace Yourself! This camp is for girls in grades 5-9 who have an interest in middle or long-distance running. Coach Troyan and his team will provide high-quality training and racing insights to help spark participants’ growth, physically and mentally. Participants will also learn valuable information on the subjects of nutrition, injury prevention, racing technique, and training knowledge.

Field Hockey Camp | June 13-16

    Stick Power! Head Varsity Coach Oksana Fedorova and her staff will teach girls entering grades 5-9 fundamental field hockey skills, including offensive and defensive stick skills, small game play, basic strategies, and rules of the game.

Golf Clinic | June 6, 8, 13, 15

    Fore! Coaches and student athletes will work with participants — no matter what experience level — to develop and improve their skills, from driving and irons, to chipping and putting. The mental aspect of the game, and rules and course management will also be covered.

Lacrosse Camp | June 21-24

  • Grades 4-6 | 8:30-11:30 a.m.

    Sticks up! Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game, including skill development, position work, and full-field concepts. Magnificat coaches and players will focus on passing, catching, cradling, and ground ball scooping skills. They will also teach basic 
    strategies, positions, and rules of the game through drills and live play.
  • Grades 7-9 | 12-3 p.m.

    Scoop it up! Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game, including skill development, position work, and full-field concepts. Magnificat coaches and players will focus on passing, catching, cradling, and ground ball scooping skills. They will also teach basic 
    strategies, positions, and rules of the game through drills and live play.

Soccer Camp | July 25-28

    Goal! You will develop and improve your passing, dribbling, and shooting skills, fitness levels, and strategies for the game. Head Varsity Coach Johnny Kimani and his staff will help you implement these skills and strategies with drills, small game situations, and full-field play.

Softball Camp | July 11-14

  • Grades 5-9 | 12-3 p.m.

    Batter Up! This camp is for girls entering grades 5-9 who love softball and want to sharpen their skills. Head Varsity Coach Zoltan Zoltai and his staff will share their love of the game, along with teaching and developing basic skills. Campers will enjoy drills, game situations, and team play.

    Tennis anyone? Head Coach Varsity “A” Chris Johnson and his staff will help participants develop and improve their individual strengths, serving up the perfect mix of match play, drill work, and strategy sessions. Focusing on stroke techniques, serving, footwork, and point play, Coach Johnson and his staff will share their love for the game!

Volleyball Camp | June 21-24

    Jump, set, spike! This clinic is designed for young girls interested in learning about volleyball. Head Varsity Coach Megan Green and her staff will teach the very basics of the game through fun games, drills, and activities.
  • Grades 5-6 | 8:30-11:30 a.m.

    Can you dig it? Calling all 5th and 6th graders! This volleyball camp focuses on skills and game fundamentals, and you will be introduced to the positions on the court. Head Varsity Coach Megan Green and her staff will share all aspects of the game with you, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced player.
  • Grades 7-8 | 12-3 p.m.

    Match point! This camp’s emphasis will be on the different systems of play at the 7th and 8th grade level. Head Varsity Coach Megan Green and her staff will focus on individual skill development, teaching fundamental techniques through competitive drills, games, and live sets.
