Welcome to Magnificat!

Magnificat is a private, Catholic, all-girl school committed to the holistic education of young women. We are committed to partnering with all of our families to assure that, throughout their four years at Magnificat, our students grow into leaders who have the tools to be successful in future academic endeavors and the world beyond the classroom.

High School Placement Test (HSPT)

Students who receive the highest scores on the HSPT exam will qualify to apply for an Academic Scholarship and will be invited to interview as part of the application process.

Magnificat will offer the HSPT exam on the dates below. Alternatively, students can submit HSPT scores from another high school to Magnificat by November 15, 2021.

Saturday, October 9, 2021*, 8:30 a.m. – Noon
     Parent/Guardian Info Session: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 26, 2021, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
     Parent/Guardian Info Session: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 13*, 8:30 a.m. - Noon
     Parent/Guardian Info Session: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
*Testing with accommodations available.
If your daughter requires accommodations, she must register at least one week before the test date and complete the Testing Accommodation Request Form. Contact School Psychologist Megan Rutkowski at mrutkowski@maghs.org for more information.
 
An assessment fee of $20 is due on the test date.

    • A $20 test fee will be collected via SquareUp in the confirmation email (cash or check payable to Magnificat will also be accepted).
    • Calculators are not permitted for this exam; scratch paper & pencils will be provided.

    Understanding the HSPT
  • Prepare for the HSPT

    Students who engage in test prep raise their confidence for test day. Studying is actually proven to be the best antidote to test anxiety. There are free online HSPT practice tests available, such as Study Guide Zone, and HSPT practice test books may be found at your library, bookstore, or online.
