About

Welcome to Magnificat

Magnificat High School, a girls' Catholic college-preparatory high school, founded and sponsored by the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, educates young women to learn, lead, and serve in the spirit of Mary’s Magnificat.
In an ever-changing world, Magnificat attends to the holistic development of each of our young women. Our expansive curricular and co-curricular programs prepare each girl for success in college and life. Our educational environment promotes academic excellence and a love of learning. Our Mission contours the entire experience for our young women in a context of values and faith-formation that permeates their holistic education.

This Mission has touched innumerable families throughout our 65-year history. The families of our 12,300+ alumnae reflect the prophetic promise of Mary’s Magnificat: “All generations will call me blessed.”

With the initiative and support of our Board of Directors, over the last several years we have enhanced our campus spaces in innovative and creative ways that forward our academic and co-curricular programs to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world. Our dedicated faculty and staff involve our students in dynamic learning experiences that call forth their gifts and talents and spark their imaginations, build their confidence, and hone their skills for life-long learning.

Magnificat is truly a community of effective caring for each student in an environment that bespeaks the heart of the school name and prayer, The Magnificat. In the tradition of all generations, joy and praise flow from the grateful hearts and courageous spirits of our students and everyone in the Magnificat community. Do come and see Magnificat and feel this spirit in person.

Design Learning

Magnificat High School is pleased to announce the Design Learning BluePrint initiative!

The Design Learning concept will guide students to build their own BluePrints that align with their educational and future career goals. Every Magnificat student will create her own unique learning BluePrint over the course of her four years. The robust college-preparatory curricular foundation that all students engage in will underpin every Design Learning BluePrint. Co-curricular options and opportunities for experiential and service learning will enhance a student’s individual BluePrint, thereby supporting a student’s holistic development.

Students will have the opportunity to earn a Concentration Diploma in a specific area of study by following one of the BluePrints outlined in the enclosed brochure. Flexibility, a key aspect of Design Learning, will allow students to explore various concentrations. Additionally, Magnificat students will have the opportunity to earn designation as Marian Leaders. These students will be recognized for making significant contributions and impacts through their leadership roles at Magnificat.

We invite you to read about this exciting new initiative.
