President Moira Clark '77 will retire at the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
After more than three decades of service to Magnificat High School, President Moira Clark ’77 has announced that she will retire at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 school year. The Board of Directors is grateful for the time to ensure a smooth leadership transition, and we know that President Clark’s extraordinary vision, steadfast leadership, and commitment to Magnificat will be deeply missed.
A graduate of Xavier University who holds a master’s degree in religious studies from John Carroll University, President Clark joined Magnificat in 1994 as a theology teacher. She later became Director of Campus Ministry and introduced many of the faith formation experiences that remain central to a Magnificat education today. In 2009 she was appointed Dean of Student Life and Formation, overseeing athletics, counseling, summer programs, and co-curriculars.
Her exceptional leadership and deep understanding of Magnificat’s Mission contributed to her appointment as President in 2017. Throughout her presidency, she has strengthened the school’s Catholic identity, enriched the student experience, and guided significant campus investments such as the Sisters of the Humility of Mary Center for Science Exploration and Innovation, the Burke-DiSanto Center for the Visual Arts, and the transformation of the outdoor athletic and horticultural education spaces.
In the coming year, we will celebrate President Clark’s remarkable tenure and her lasting impact on Magnificat. The Board is committed to identifying a successor that will continue President Clark’s legacy of leadership and service, and has engaged a recruiting firm to lead us through a fair, thorough, and successful search process.
In the meantime, please join the Board in congratulating President Clark on her retirement next year and in thanking her for her extraordinary dedication and faith-filled leadership.
